We are currently looking for a Flying Start Early Years Development Assistant to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for –
The Early Years, Childcare and Flying Start Team in Neath Port Talbot is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to develop and support our quality Childcare Settings as part of continued Flying Start expansion and development of Welsh language within the sector across Neath Port Talbot.
As part of the Early Years, Childcare and Flying Start Team, you will continue to enhance the quality of the childcare settings through the facilitation of workshops, training, and mentoring childcare staff in setting, focusing mainly on maintaining and developing the play environments in line with the new curriculum for early years and enhancing provision in line with ALN Reform.
The post holder will need to have experience of working within childcare, and a keen appreciation for the Early Years Curriculum in order to advise and develop the childcare settings.The main duties of the post;
- Working under the supervision of the Childcare Lead, within the multi agency Early Years and Flying Start Childcare Team, you will carry out a range of duties to lead and support the continued development of the high quality childcare settings within the programme in Neath Port Talbot.
You will have experience in/of;
Working in a multi-agency way with a wide range of professionals
Early Years Curriculum setting experience
Ideally you will have;
Flying Start (FS) is a Welsh Government (WG) initiative, which seeks to target support for pre-school children and their families within identified areas, and to deliver specific outcomes for children.
