About the role:
We are looking for a Cynnydd Youth Engagement Worker to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working with children and young people to improve their engagement in education. They will hold a caseload, plan, facilitate, monitor and evaluate a range of interventions to support the needs of children and young people in a strengths-based person-centred approach.
The main duties of the post;
This post will target children and young people most at risk of disengagement from education and therefore, by association, be at the highest risk of becoming not in education, employment of training (NEET).
You will have experience in/of;
Engaging with young people in order to build positive relationships in a school setting. You will have experience of delivering a range of interventions in order to address areas of concern, linked to disengagement and behavioural needs.
You will also have experience of adopting a multi-agency approach in order to best support the young people and their families.
Ideally you will have;
This post requires a formal qualification e.g. A Youth Work qualification or equivalent.
