We are currently looking for 2 x Theatre assistants to join our team. Working evenings and weekends
Part Time 24.5 and 19.5 hours per week
About Us: Pontardawe Arts Centre is a vibrant hub for arts and culture, offering a diverse range of performances, workshops, and events and cinema. We are committed to providing exceptional experiences for our community and visitors. Exciting new developments are underway, including the addition of a 74-seat cinema and significant upgrades to our facilities. These enhancements will enable us to screen the latest Hollywood releases and improve our café, bar, and ticket office areas.
The successful candidates will be responsible for – To assist in the successful operation of Pontardawe Arts Centre.
The main duties of the post;
Assist the management team with the effective administration of the building.
To work as café/bar staff, Front of house steward and assist with selling tickets on Box office.
To assist with load ins/outs and set up of technical equipment.
To oversee the general safety and behaviour of the public to prevent injury, misuse and damage to the facility.
To ensure that all areas are satisfactory prepared for the programmed event. To set up and relocate equipment.
To periodically inspect the condition of all equipment, fixtures and fittings to report upon any corrective action needed and to carry out minor repairs as necessary.
To undertake cleaning as and when required.
To operate and maintain all equipment and machinery as necessary.
To assist in the locking up of the building making sure property is secured and that the security system is functioning outside opening hours.
To undertake other duties commensurate with the grade of the post.
You will have;
Experience of working in the Cinema/Arts/Hospitality sector
Experience of working as front of house steward and bar staff operator
Ideally you will have;
Basic Literacy and Numeracy skills
