We are currently looking for a Senior Estates Officer to join our team.
An opportunity has arisen within the Strategic Property and Valuation Team for an enthusiastic individual who ideally has experience of working within the public sector.
This is a great opportunity for someone with an undergraduate degree in a property discipline or someone with an RICS accredited post qualification diploma, who is looking to develop their skills in a busy multi-disciplinary team. It is also an ideal opportunity for a candidate who has experience as a general practice property surveyor and who is working towards or has achieved full membership of the RICS.
Working under the Principal Estates Manager, the successful candidate will be part of small team of property professionals and expected to provide professional Estate Management and Valuation advice, whilst also assisting the Council with the management of its substantial and varied land and property portfolio.
The successful candidate will act on behalf of the Council when negotiating and implementing various property transactions, including: lease agreements, lease renewals, rent reviews, acquisitions and disposals.
The successful candidate will be responsible for – Under the direction of the Principal Estates Manager, to assist in the provision of a professional Property and Valuation Service for the Authority’s property portfolio and help ensure effective service delivery when achieving the Corporate programmes and objectives.
The main duties of the post;
To assist in the management of the Council’s property portfolio, which encompasses commercial, industrial, recreational, agricultural land and land awaiting development.
