We are currently looking for an Assistive Technology Support Installers to join our small and friendly team, based at Cimla, Neath. This is a community facing role and requires that you have the ability to travel throughout the County Borough area.
Experience of working with Assistive Technology installations is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
Main duties of the post:
The post holder will undertake installations, maintenance and decommission of digital and assistive technology in a range of settings including private dwellings, public residential and other community spaces to promote the adoption of technology for prevention and early intervention purposes. As part of this work, they will support individuals to get the most out of their technology, supporting digital skills they need to use technology confidently and effectively.
Full duties of the role can be found in the attached Job Description and Person Specification. We are looking for candidates with:
Ability to use be able to use small power tools if required (eg handheld drill)
Working in a customer service & customer focused environment
Experience of dealing with sensitive issues in a caring & compassionate manner
You will need to have:
A minimum of 4 GCSEs (Grade A – C) which must include English language or the Welsh equivalent
NVQ II or equivalent in Assistive Technology or Care
OR
Evidence of substantial experience in a relevant role / lived in experience
