Contract Type: Fixed Term post until 31/03/2025 due to funding

Hours: Full Time 37 hours per week 

We are currently looking for a Legal Regulatory Assistant to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support for the Legal Regulatory Services team which includes, licensing, rights of way and common land registration.

The main duties of the post are:

• To assist in the processing of licensing applications.
• To assist with the duties of the Commons Registration Authority on behalf of the Council
• To assist with duties associated with Legal Rights of Way.
• To acknowledge, assist with collating and responding to FOI and Subject Access requests.
• To maintain records, registers, databases and financial data and ensure appropriate records management for all legal regulatory functions.
• To assist in the coordination and undertake the administration work in respect of public inquiries for the purposes of rights of way work and commons registration.
• To issue reminders for licence renewals and annual fees.
• To take and reconcile payments.
• To provide general administrative support

An attention to detail and proficiency in the use of Microsoft applications is essential.  The post holder will have excellent communication skills, be highly organised and efficient in maintaining accurate records.

You will possess at least 4 GCSE’s at grade C or above, one of which must be English or Welsh, plus Mathematics, or a qualification of a comparable level (e.g. Intermediate GNVQ Level 2, BTEC First Certificate, NVQ Level 2).
