We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to support the planning, coordination, and oversight of training and development initiatives within our Environment Service. Responsibilities will include organising and delivering internal training sessions, coordinating externally accredited or skills-based training courses, liaising with training providers, tracking course participation and evaluation, managing and monitoring training budgets, preparing comprehensive training plans, and reporting on all training and development activities.
The appointed individual should have experience in delivering training, possess communication skills, and demonstrate proficient digital and video conferencing skills. They are required to be organised and capable of planning training and development activities in accordance with relevant legislation, policy, and procedures.
This position requires candidates to possess a minimum learning and development qualification in accordance with Best Practice Guidance for Learning and Assessment within the sector. Recognised qualifications include NVQ/QCF Level 3 or 4 in Training and Development Lead Body (TDLB). Candidates holding only a Level 3 qualification will be expected to undertake further study and achieve a higher-level qualification within 24 months of appointment. Acceptable professional qualifications include, but are not limited to, a Professional Qualification in Adult Learning/Education (such as a PGCE), NVQ Level 3/4 in Training & Development, CIPD, or equivalent credentials.
The Learning Training & Development Section consists of more than 20 staff members who address the learning, training, and development needs of all services within NPT Council, as well as those of the private and voluntary social care workforce in Neath Port Talbot.
