The South Wales Trunk Road Agent (SWTRA) is an Agent working on behalf of the Welsh Government Climate Change Division of the Department for Economy, Science and Transport, which is managed under the governance of Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council.
Everybody who works at the SWTRA, from those who design our road projects to those who patrol our roads, play a vital role in helping the Welsh Ministers to deliver on their goals and ambitions for the strategic road network in South Wales.

Our work covers virtually all the local authority administrative areas from the Severn Crossings to Pembrokeshire with offices based across South Wales.

The successful candidate can expect to earn in the region of £38,500 - £39,000k per annum within the first year of appointment. This will increase as the candidate progresses through the Scale point increments. The salary also comprises of participation in an Emergency “Out of Hours” rota and supervisory attendances for planned and unplanned overtime with levels of reimbursement commensurate with Neath Port Talbot Policies and appropriate hourly rate multipliers
Welsh Language skills are not required
