We are currently looking for a GIS and Admin Support Supervisor to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible to provide GIS support for the authority by creating, maintaining, sourcing and interpreting spatial data. To act as systems administrator and provide support for software used in the Planning and Public Protection Service. To act as the Authorities Address Custodian and Ordnance Survey Liaison Officer, and administrative support.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering a specialist business support function to Planning and Public Protection. The primary function of the post will be to provide GIS support for the authority by creating, maintaining, sourcing and interpreting spatial data. To act as systems administrator and provide support for software used in the Planning and Public Protection Service. To act as the Authorities Address Custodian and Ordnance Survey Liaison Officer, and administrative support.
The post holder will also provide business support to Planning, Planning Policy, Environmental Health, Trading Standards and Building Control.
Areas of work will include, word-processing, data collection and recording on data bases, general clerical duties and input of information on GIS and to be responsible for the maintenance of computer and file-based records will be an important aspect of the duties.
Applicants should have a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications as well as be suitably experienced in working with GIS and Gazetteers.
The post requires 4 GCSE grade ‘C’ or above or equivalent NVQ and HNC/HND/BTEC/degree or equivalent national standard in Geography, Computer Science, a similar technical subject or two years equivalent experience in a similar role.
Welsh Language skills are not required for this position
