To deliver the change required, we’ve reset the entire Digital Services staffing structure, aligning to the DDaT profession capability framework, ensuring we have modern and fit for purpose job descriptions focusing on the rights skills and abilities.
The role
Reporting to the Senior Data Analyst, the post holder will work across a broad range of areas (e.g. Business Intelligence (BI), Data Assurance and Quality), understanding, manipulating and accurately analysing data from a broad range of sources. They will apply tools and techniques for data analysis and data visualisation including the use of SQL, R, Python, Power BI or similar tools.
Part of a specialist team of data professionals, they will support the implementation of the data strategy across the council which ensures robust, accurate and timely collation and usage of a wide range of data sets. This will support decision making by the right people, at the right time, based on the best data available.
Experience and education
Must be educated to HND level, with a commitment to work towards a formal data related qualification or possess equivalent occupational experience.
Must have formal qualifications in Digital Services, IT Service Management and/or business management.
