This is an exciting time to be joining the Digital Services Division as we’re working to transform the Neath Port Talbot experience for all our citizens, businesses, staff and visitors through the best use of Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT).
To deliver the change required, we’ve reset the entire Digital Services staffing structure, aligning to the DDaT profession capability framework, ensuring we have modern and fit for purpose job descriptions focusing on the rights skills and abilities.
The role
Reporting to the Senior Delivery Manager, the post holder will play a pivotal role in leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver a range of the most complex, high risk or sensitive digital products, platforms and services from discovery to live, as well as iterating existing products.
The post holder will build and maintain teams, ensuring they are motivated, collaborating and working well; identify obstacles and help the team to overcome them; focus the team on what is most important to the delivery of products and services; encourage and facilitate continuous improvement of the delivery team; and coach and mentor both team members and others to apply the most appropriate agile and lean tools and techniques.
The post holder will be engaging with teams from across the Council, fostering strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, putting users at the centre of all we do and support the team to achieve their vision and goals.

Experience and education
Candidates must be educated to Degree level or possess equivalent occupational experience, and hold a formal qualification in Digital Services e.g. IT Service Management and/or business management e.g. Agile, ITIL, Prince2.
