Fixed Term post until 30/9/2026 due to funding / 37hrs per week.
We are currently looking for a Digital Infrastructure Engagement & Support Officer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for –
The main duties of the post;
Supporting and enabling communities and businesses across NPTCBC’s worst served areas to access fast, reliable broadband (fixed or mobile) through a programme of community, supplier and stakeholder support, engagement, and targeted communication. Identify project areas using OMR and Ofcom data. Promote take-up of gigabit capable services.
You will have experience in/of;
· You have a proven track record of successfully planning, managing, and delivering partnership projects with a range of local, regional, and national stakeholders
· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong, positive relationships and build credibility quickly; experience of successfully working with a range of people at all levels. A good understanding of how to engage with different audiences and meet differing needs.
· Able to think strategically and identify ways to improve support, communication, and engagement efforts.
· Experience in regeneration, economic development, digital infrastructure, communication, or related fields.
Ideally you will have;
Professional qualification or equivalent.
The post holder will support the delivery of the £55m Digital Infrastructure Programme of the Swansea Bay City Deal within Neath Port Talbot, by facilitating digital infrastructure deployment (fibre & mobile connectivity) across the county through a complex programme of community, supplier and stakeholder support, engagement, and targeted communication. Swansea Bay Region consists of Neath Port Talbot, Swansea, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Each Unitary Authority has small team working to the same aims and goals, and work collectively as a region under the Swansea Bay City Deal Digital programme.
