This role receives a market pay supplement. The salary is (£39,298 - £43,478, full time equivalent which includes a £3,000 market pay supplement) for a grade 9 Senior Social Worker or; (£33,909 - £37,298, full time equivalent including £1,000 supplement) for a grade 8 Social Worker including newly qualified workers. This payment is reviewed on the 31st March 2024.
Neath Port Talbot Children & Young People’s Services are currently looking for enthusiastic, passionate, and dedicated Social Workers to join our busy front line teams as we continue to embed outcomes focussed practice throughout the service, whilst making solid progress towards our aims of achieving quality, effectively managing risk, and supporting children, young people and their families' to make a difference to their lives and improve their wellbeing so they have the best start in life.
In our Children and Young People’s Service we like to pride ourselves on being a service that strives for excellence and supports its employees to achieve their potential by incorporating a comprehensive induction programme, providing regular supervision and appraisals, and facilitating ongoing training and development with opportunities for progression throughout the service. Our service shares best practice and supports working groups, such as the First Three Years in Practice Group and the Practice Improvement Group.
The Service has a separate Single Point of Contact Team (Intake Team) , Looked After Children Team, including a team providing support to 16 – 18 year olds who will be leaving Local Authority Care, Childcare Disability Team, Community Children’s Teams, and Fostering and Adoption Teams, as well as a number of in-house support services who provide additional, early intervention provisions to families including Team Around the Family, FAST, Working Together Service and the Multi Agency Placement Support Service.
