This is an exciting time to be joining the Digital Services Division as we’re working to transform the Neath Port Talbot experience for all our citizens, businesses, staff and visitors through the best use of Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT).
To deliver the change required, we’ve reset the entire Digital Services staffing structure, aligning to the DDaT profession capability framework, ensuring we have modern and fit for purpose job descriptions focusing on the rights skills and abilities.
The role
Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, the post holder will be the strategic lead for the strategy and governance underpinning the successful delivery of Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) programme across the Authority. Leading a multi-disciplined team of digital delivery specialists, they will ensure there is appropriate governance arrangements so that decisions are taken by the right people, at the right time, based on the best information available.
The post holder will undertake a pivotal role in developing the Neath Port Talbot DDaT portfolio, with a clear focus on ensuring a cohesive programme of digital products are developed and implemented to support the delivery to our stakeholders.
Commercial and financial management are also key components of this post, and the post holder will be expected to support effective financial management within the budget constraints, monitoring projected budgets against expenditure and securing ongoing funding streams to support future priorities, as well as new opportunities.

Experience and education
Candidates must be educated to degree level or possess equivalent occupational experience, with formal qualifications in Digital Services (e.g. Agile), and/or IT Service Management (e.g. ITIL) and/or business management
