This role receives a market pay supplement. The salary is (£39,298 - £43,478, full time equivalent including £3,000 supplement) for a grade 9 Senior Social Worker or; (£33,909 - £37,298, full time equivalent including £1,000 supplement) for a grade 8 Social Worker including newly qualified workers. This payment is reviewed on 31st March 2024.
There are opportunities to work within the newly developed Multi-Disciplinary Community Network Hubs.
The teams work in partnership with adults who have varied needs, their carers and families to identify what matters to them, devise care and support plans to meet their outcomes, whilst maximising independence where possible. The focus of the teams are to build on the assets of individuals within their own communities and working with colleagues to identify this where appropriate.
We work alongside a range of professionals within the teams, including colleagues from the health board, therapies and children’s services. It is an exciting time to join adult social care with friendly, experienced and supportive colleagues who are dedicated to providing a service that puts citizens at centre of our work.

Ideally you will have;
Applicants will need to be social work qualified (or due to qualify during 2022) and professionally registered as a social worker (or in the process of registration following recent completion of a qualification programme) with Social Care Wales.
You will need a knowledge and working practice of the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014, to include outcome focussed assessment and care planning, knowledge and working practice of Continuing Health Care, the Mental Capacity Act 2005 including Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
