The Neighbourhood Services Section are seeking to recruit a Streetcare Supervisor. There are a team of six Streetcare supervisors within the wider Neighbourhood Services team. Each Streetcare Supervisor is allocated a zone of the County Borough for which they are responsible for leading a multi-skilled team to deliver a diverse range of tasks such as, but not limited to:
The Streetcare supervisor position is essential in ensuring that the places where we live, work and play are safe, clean and inviting. In order to achieve this, the successful candidate will require the ability to manage numerous employees that possess a diverse skillset along with external contractors and partner organisations. Candidates must have the ability to create and maintain a healthy, safe and productive working environment. The safety of the team and the public, which due to the nature of the services delivered are constantly affected by operations, is paramount. The successful candidate must have the ability to create a safe working culture, ensure compliance with cooperate and departmental policies and procedures as well as codes of practice and health and safety law.
The Neighbourhood Services team is committed to providing both a proactive and reactive service; the applicant will therefore be required to have the ability to work as part of a team where service priorities change on a frequent and often urgent basis.
The Neighbourhood Services team is committed to the professional development of all staff and the management team will work with the successful candidate to establish development opportunities for the future.
A full driving licence is essential for this post.
